Anthropic and HHMI Janelia Launch Model Hardware Standard for AI-Controlled Lab Equipment
On August 28, Anthropic partnered with HHMI's Janelia Research Campus to launch the Model Hardware Standard (MHS), entering the first phase of its research preview to let AI agents safely operate physical equipment in scientific research and advanced manufacturing.
