Anthropic releases Model Hardware Standard to let agents control physical lab equipment

Anthropic has introduced the Model Hardware Standard (MHS), a universal interface that enables AI agents to control and coordinate hardware from different manufacturers, including microscopes, liquid handlers, robotic arms, and lab equipment.
- Efficiency: Custom integrations that previously took weeks or months can now be reduced to hours or even minutes with MHS.
