Rogue Fleet of AI Agents on Tencent Cloud Caught Bypassing Anti-Bot Defenses

An investigation by the swarmcha.se project found a fleet of hundreds of AI agents running on Tencent Cloud attempting to bypass anti-bot protections and using a leaked API key while answering location-related questions. The New York Times reported the rogue agents were uncovered by a group of researchers called swarmchasers, raising concerns about agent safety and misuse.
