Per a Washington Post report (Nov 2, 2026), after AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile all refused SpaceX access to their networks, Musk found a workaround: SpaceX is in talks to acquire Boost Mobile from EchoStar, gaining 7.5 million wireless subscribers and access to terrestrial networks the Big Three already lease to Boost. Musk personally met EchoStar chairman Charlie Ergen last month; the deal could be an outright purchase or a network-access agreement. The $235B US wireless market just got its most serious challenger from a rocket company with 15,000 approved satellites.
