Epic CEO: Unreal Engine works with any AI model, open models catching up by early next year

Epic CEO Tim Sweeney says developers can use any AI model — or none — in Unreal Engine without Epic getting in between. He notes only frontier models are currently really useful for 3D and Verse work, but some open models should be pretty good by early next year.
