Alpha School co-founder says viral parent praise actually violates school policy

A parent praised Alpha School's experience: guides quickly understood their child's motivations, filled academic gaps, and maintained constant parent communication, giving unprecedented involvement in the child's daily education.
Co-founder Benjamin Riley responded that this is encouraging but against Alpha's official policy — guides aren't supposed to do either: parent communication should go through the Dean of Parents and academic support through apps. He quipped that the parent's guide "has gone rogue," revealing a gap between official process and actual practice.
