Prime Agent: An Open-Source Self-Improving Agent for Long-Running Tasks
willccbb · x · 2026-08-06
PrimeIntellect-ai introduced Prime Agent, an open-source coding and research agent designed for general and long-running work. The repo has already garnered nearly 1,000 stars on GitHub.
Its architecture is built around two core abstractions: the Recursive Language Model (RLM), which treats context as variables and tools/sub-agents as function calls within a persistent REPL, and a Continual Harness that stores supplemental prompts, memories, and skills to enable self-improvement and autonomous execution.
