DeepMind turns coding agent Antigravity into a science tool, surfacing novel antimicrobial peptide in one session
pushmeet · x · 2026-10-16
Google DeepMind has evolved its coding agent Antigravity into "Antigravity for Science," combining latest Gemini models with science-specific breakthrough models like AlphaFold and AlphaGenome, plus interfaces such as a Biomolecular Structure Viewer, to accelerate end-to-end scientific workflows.
The impact is already concrete: researchers working on antimicrobial resistance surfaced a novel antimicrobial peptide candidate in a single session with the tool.
To support academic adoption, DeepMind also launched an Antigravity for Science credits program, with a published case study on the antimicrobial resistance work.
