Normalizing Claude's schema-free MCP output before it hits downstream n8n nodes
snowingbol · reddit · 2026-10-16
A redditor built a lead-qualification workflow where Claude queries company data via Coresignal's MCP connection, getting much richer results than before. The friction: Claude's MCP output has no fixed schema since it decides what's relevant, which is great for reasoning but breaks downstream n8n nodes expecting a specific format to write to HubSpot. They currently use a function node to parse and extract fields, and are asking whether others have found a cleaner normalization pattern.
