App Store Connect CLI 6.3.0 Adds JSON project.xcproj Support, Pricing and Notarization Tools
Developer rudrank has released App Store Connect CLI (ASC CLI) 6.3.0, a feature-packed update headlined by support for Xcode's new JSON-format project.xcproj, along with additions covering pricing, notarization, asset libraries, and numerous robustness fixes. The release is available now, with all new capabilities accessible directly from the command line.
Confirmed
- project.xcproj support: asc xcode version view reads version and build numbers from a project, honoring conditional settings, inheritance, and xcconfig files; asc xcode version edit and bump --type let you precisely rewrite version numbers without opening Xcode. signing plan and apply don't yet support the JSON format, but they halt with a warning before writing anything, preventing half-modified files
- Pricing capabilities: asc pricing schedule create creates a time-limited promotion with start and end dates in a single command, with an option to automatically revert to the original price point when it ends; --confirm is a required argument. PPP price-adjustment commands (asc pricing / iap pricing / subscriptions pricing ppp) gain a --territory parameter accepting comma-separated country codes to limit scope
- Notarization and asset library: asc notarization log --id SUBMISSIONID --fetch shows notarization failure reasons right in the terminal, and --path ./log.json saves the log; new one-command upload of screenshots and video previews to the Apple asset library
- Other features: asc apps update --streamlined-purchasing-enabled true toggles streamlined purchasing from the terminal; StoreKit transactions can now be filtered by ownership
- Robustness fixes: --serial-number in commands like certificates list gains match tolerance and strips leading zeros; ASCPRIVATEKEY tolerates various kinds of keychain-induced corruption (content collapsed to one line, newlines turned into spaces, Base64 missing BEGIN/END lines); asc versions release re-reads version status after a server error, exiting with reconciled: true and exit code 0 if the release actually succeeded, so CI doesn't flag a false failure for an already-live release
Why it matters
These updates let everyday App Store Connect operations—bumping version numbers, configuring promo pricing, uploading screenshots, checking notarization logs—happen almost entirely in the terminal and CI, reducing reliance on Xcode and the web dashboard. The false-failure fix and key tolerance directly improve automation pipeline reliability, offering clear value for CI-heavy teams.
