Use AI to scan repos for issues: a reproducible open-source contribution workflow
jackedAJ · x · 2026-11-07
A practical workflow for finding open-source issues to work on: clone the repo into an AI coding environment (Cursor, VS Code), have the AI analyze the architecture to spot weak areas, then search for bugs in those areas, raise a fixing PR, and introduce yourself in the project's Slack/Discord explaining you found the issue while investigating. The shared Discord note says maintainers tend to respond friendly, and this is the author's own practice.
