Xepak: declarative local builder for REST, RPC, MCP and RAG servers that agents can write DSL for
rumatoest · reddit · 2026-11-07
Developer rumatoest released Xepak, an open-source declarative builder for REST, RPC, MCP and RAG servers aimed at local/private deployments. It began as a Lua-based PostgREST alternative (disliking PostgREST's reliance on PL/pgSQL) and grew into a multi-protocol server generator from a SQLite prototype. Key twist: AI-friendly docs let even local models write valid DSL configs in minutes — the author watched local AI define an MCP server via DSL and then use it, closing the loop fully offline.
