Prototyping observability for 10k-agent swarms: a collector, multi-mode viewer and analysis agent
wanderingtraveller · reddit · 2026-11-01
An AI engineer shares tooling for swarm observability, built to help understand how thousands of agents behave (or fail). The demo image shows a full trace timeline of 16 workers, 1 planner and 1 judge building a Python Lisp interpreter in 30 minutes for $0.18. The stack includes: a collector tracking everything from filesystem reads/writes to inter-agent messages and traditional traces; a viewer with multiple modes for understanding swarm behavior during or after a run; and 'hodhod', an analysis agent with deterministic tools to slice and dice the recorded data. The author invites others building similar systems to connect.
