Open-source ComfyUI light stage: drag lights around your subject for AI video relighting
Holiday-Opposite8514 · reddit · 2026-10-30
The author open-sourced ComfyUI-OpenVideoRelight: instead of struggling to describe lighting in prompts, you drag lights around your subject, pick colors, brightness and start/end positions, and an LLM translates your original video, optional lighting reference, and stage setup into more precise instructions for video models like Qwen and MiniMax.
Workflow: drop in a clip, add lights on the stage, generate keyframes to check the look (1 minute), redraw unwanted ones, then hit Run for the final video; a reference image's lighting can also be borrowed. Runs locally in ComfyUI, tested on a 12GB GPU with 48GB RAM recommended. Submitted to the #OpenSourceHiggsfield contest.
