Firecrawl ships official MCP integration for Vercel's open-source agent framework eve
devdigest · x · 2026-10-31
Firecrawl is now officially available in Vercel's open-source agent framework eve.
- One command (eve add connection/firecrawl) adds an MCP connection giving agents search, scrape, crawl, parse and web-monitoring capabilities
- Docs include a full setup: define the connection via defineMcpClientConnection in agent/connections/firecrawl.ts, keep the API key in a server-side env var never exposed to the model
- Since Firecrawl calls consume usage and can create persistent work, every call requires approval by default; tool filters can block unattended cost-sensitive actions
