Five Principles for Generating Readable AI Text in Bulk: Fixes for Agent Titles and Summaries
sh_reya · x · 2026-10-30
An FS Data Lab article tackles a modern problem: humans now read AI-generated text at unprecedented scale — Claude Code/Codex session-title sidebars, Apple Intelligence notification summaries, AI-built dashboards and pages.
With before/after screenshots, the author shows concrete rewrites:
- Session titles rewritten from noun-piles ("KV persistence across queries") to gerund-led forms ("Persisting KV across queries", "Measuring vLLM performance on eviction queries") for scannability;
- Issue summaries standardized to open with "The issue reports that…", avoiding template artifacts like calling an issue a "page";
- Notification/order feeds put status first (Amazon-style "Shipped: …") and keep item structure consistent.
Core thesis: AI text feeds must be predictable and structurally consistent for humans to scan in bulk — distilled into five principles for generating agent text at scale.
