General Catalyst is quadrupling down on Serval's $150M Series C. In a conversation with marcbhargava, CEO Jake Serval explained the origin insight: he asked IT teams what they'd hand to someone hired to sit next them and do their work — nearly all said building automations took longer than doing the task, leaving them resetting passwords by hand week after week. Serval automates the automations for employee-support teams. The interview also covers why startups can compete with the AI labs.
