Oxide Computer raised $445M at a $6B valuation. Co-founder Bryan Cantrill says the company is already profitable and didn't even need the raise. In the interview he discusses the AI bubble question, why America hates data centers, Oxide's equal-salary policy, banking 100% at SVB, and stories from early board meetings with 92-year-old Pierre. Eclipse Ventures led the seed when nobody else would; one wire transfer was bigger than the entire seed round.
