ymcp lets Claude Code autonomously turn YouTrack issues into PRs
xlsoftware · reddit · 2026-10-29
A developer open-sourced ymcp (MIT), a pipeline that watches a YouTrack search and lets Claude Code autonomously handle each issue:
- Runs claude -p in its own git worktree per issue, with YouTrack tools via a per-run MCP server
- Moves issues to In Progress, pushes, opens GitHub PRs/GitLab MRs with Claude-written descriptions
- Feeds failed CI jobs and log tails back to Claude; routes PR and YouTrack review comments into the same session via --resume
- Pauses with a desktop notification when Claude needs input or hits a permission; /approve grants only the specific denied calls for that run
- Includes a TUI board with live transcripts, plus /clear, /compact, /cancel replies from YouTrack or the PR
