Dev uses Claude-built library to ship Obsidian plugin that plans music practice with spaced review
dSebastien · x · 2026-10-29
Developer Sébastien Dubois built a library with Claude and used it as the foundation for Music Practice, a new Obsidian plugin (v0.1) for instrument learning:
- Quick logging: practice timer in the status bar, items practiced, quality rating, BPM and review results, one session note per practice
- Mastery levels: every chord, scale and piece is a note ranked from Want-to-learn to Mastered
- Smart planning: "I have 30 minutes" generates a warm-up, focus block and due reviews; spaced review flags what's slipping
Notes stay plain Markdown with frontmatter, viewable via Obsidian Bases. Notation with chord diagrams, tabs and playback is planned for v0.2.
