Grok-powered Money Bot spots $7,070 double charge at a Palo Alto motel
Baconbrix · x · 2026-10-25
Developer Baconbrix asked Grok's Money Bot to audit his finances and it flagged a motel in Palo Alto that charged him about $7,070 twice via Booking.com and the hotel itself, three days apart — potentially recovering $7k.
Per the screenshot, the bot also suggested moving idle cash into X Money at 6% APY or an S&P plan, and identified food delivery, rides, and storage fees as the biggest spending levers. His takeaway: the more bots watching your finances, the better.
