1Password launches Agents platform with Meta, Anthropic, OpenAI so agents never see passwords
testingcatalog · x · 2026-10-23
1Password announced the 1Password for Agents platform, integrating with personal AI agents including Meta's Muse, Anthropic's Claude, and OpenAI's ChatGPT Work, letting agents use your accounts without ever seeing your passwords. Waitlist is open.
How it works:
- Three-step flow: agent requests a credential → you approve or deny in 1Password → 1Password autofills the password or one-time code; the agent only learns access was granted
- New account details are saved into your vault automatically
- Use cases: grocery ordering via Instacart/DoorDash, syncing exams to your calendar, booking flights and Airbnb, saving API keys while vibe coding in GitHub
- Included in all Individual and Family plans, with a 14-day free trial
