Google's Agents CLI Adds Extension System, Ships First-Party LangChain Support
rseroter · x · 2026-10-23
Google's Agents CLI (v1.5.0+) introduces an Extension System letting developers override or add commands without forking, and v1.8.0 ships a first-party LangChain extension. A single YAML manifest replaces six ADK-coupled commands (run, playground, evals, publish) with LangChain equivalents. Enterprise admins can also inject governance policies like compliance scans and SSO gates across the agent development lifecycle.
