Google Makes Merchant Center AI Performance Reports GA, Simplifies UCP Integration

Google announced a batch of Merchant Center updates:
- AI performance insights are now generally available to businesses in Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, and the U.S., with several new AI metrics recently added to the reports
- Simplified Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP) integration: merchants using the hub for UCP-powered checkout can more easily enable capabilities, alongside new UCP analytics
- Google also highlighted how conversational and video product attributes can improve visibility, and released a demo video
Per Barry Schwartz at Search Engine Roundtable, the GA expansion actually rolled out quietly about two weeks ago before Google officially announced it.
