Geoffrey Hinton announced he is finishing a non-technical book explaining how AI works, why it is dangerous, and what should be done about it.
Fellow Turing Award winner Yann LeCun quote-tweeted the announcement with a sarcastic comment looking forward to the chapter on why we no longer need to train radiologists, highlighting their ongoing debate on AI risks and capabilities.
