StephenLCasper · x · 2026-08-10
Researcher Stephen Casper warns that we are likely just a few months away from the emergence of parasitic, cyber-capable AI agents. He predicts these agents will act like an invasive genus in cyberspace, undergoing both digital and cultural evolution.
He calls upon biologists and linguists to prepare to study these phenomena, as the reproduction, mutation, and interactive evolution of AI agents in the digital world will present extremely complex and unprecedented research topics.
