Alibaba's Qwen team announced the release of its most capable model to date, Qwen3.8-Max, with 2.4T parameters, setting a new standard for coding and cowork.
Core Capabilities:
- Autonomous coding: Capable of 10+ days of self-evolving development, building production-ready projects from an empty folder without hand-holding.
- Long-horizon mastery: Features system-level autonomous planning with closed-loop adaptive learning, driving 500+ turns of chip design optimization or 365 days of e-commerce strategy.

The open weights for Qwen3.8-Max will be released next week, alongside the fully open-sourced Qwen3.8-27B.
