A user called GPT-6.1 Sol "painfully unusable": slow responses and a buggy Codex that takes 3-4 tries to receive messages. They found the Claude app smarter and at least 7x faster in their experience, and argued OpenAI's decision to cut limits and default speed while trailing Anthropic is its worst move, with limits set to worsen after the 2x promo ends.
