Bayesian Health says its sepsis AI became the first FDA-cleared continuous monitor in May

Bayesian Health and founder Suchi Saria are highlighted for taking a different route in healthcare AI: the company watches patient vitals and labs in real time to flag sepsis early, one of the leading causes of death in U.S. hospitals.
The post says that in May, Bayesian’s system became the first AI ever cleared by the FDA for continuous sepsis monitoring. It also argues that success depended on more than the model itself: three non-technical factors mattered just as much.
