OpenAI DevDay Launches Codex Cloud, Moving Its Coding Agent Fully to the Cloud
At DevDay, OpenAI announced Codex Cloud: the coding agent Codex now runs entirely in the cloud, no longer depending on a local dev environment, and is available across Plus, Pro, Business, Healthcare, Education, and Enterprise plans. Also announced was the Agents API entering preview, which integrates computer use capabilities and has opened beta testing on the API side.
