Fly Brain Connectome Mapped — and Made to Play Smash Bros

Google Research and partners mapped the full adult male fruit fly brain—over 166,000 neurons—by stitching millions of 2D images into 3D with AI. A hacker then wired the connectome into a simulator to play Smash Bros.
