Sony and Warner Sue Anthropic and Its Executives Over Song Theft for Claude Training
On August 31, Sony Music Publishing and Warner Chappell sued Anthropic in California, naming CEO Dario Amodei and co-founder Benjamin Mann as individual defendants. With Universal and other labels having sued earlier, all three major music groups have now taken action against Anthropic over lyrics used to train Claude.
