Isolating persistent memory across clients in LLM assistants: a Hindsight Cloud case study
Mohan-D-S · reddit · 2026-11-07
A solo developer building Client Desk, a freelancer client assistant, tackled multi-client memory isolation using Hindsight Cloud: separate memory banks per client, retain to store preferences and facts, recall before generating emails and quotes, reflect to produce client briefings, plus a visible memory panel to inspect what was recalled. Backend is Python/Flask with Groq. His takeaway: persistent memory is as much about isolation, retrieval and usage as storage; auth, stable client identification, and retrieval evaluation remain open problems. He asks the community: separate banks vs shared store with metadata filtering, and how to evaluate whether recalled memories actually improve outputs.
