Site owner fires back at "AI slop" label: AI writes everything, he architects, and readers benefit
iannuttall · x · 2026-11-07
Blogger ian.nuttall responds after his growth teardown was flagged as "AI slop" by a detector tool. He argues the tool itself was built with AI agents — so is that slop too? He admits he hates writing content as much as hand-writing code and has run programmatic SEO with templates and spintax for years pre-AI. His test is simple: "Does this help my audience achieve X?" Most of his sites are fully designed, coded, and written by AI with him as the architect, and he discloses AI authorship. A representative counter-argument to the AI-slop moral panic from the SEO/site-owner world.
