What happens if RSI-complete model weights leak: thousands of self-improvement loops at once
connoraxiotes · x · 2026-11-07
A thought experiment making the rounds: if the weights of an RSI-complete model (one that can do AI R&D end-to-end) leaked or were open sourced, we wouldn't see one or two recursive self-improvement loops — we'd see thousands happening simultaneously at various speeds and scales, given available compute. The author finds this "exciting," a notable take in the open-weights risk debate.
