Hugging Face nears 100K robotics datasets, Reachy mini sells 50K+ units
DJiafei · x · 2026-11-07
Hugging Face CEO Clem Delangue shared six months of open-source robotics AI progress: nearly 100,000 public robotics datasets (up 48%), 30,000+ public robotics models (up 41%), and open-source robots Microduck/Reachy mini becoming 2026's most popular robot (50K sold, 20K+ shipped). LeRobot passed 1M downloads with v0.7.0 adding world action models, interactive control and remote GPU inference. HF is also a founding partner of RoboColosseum, which evaluates robots across 140+ real-world scenes with all runs (including failures) published publicly, plus 10,000 free eval hours for researchers. He argues open-source keeps robotics AI from being locked in a few black-box companies.
