Hugging Face hosts ~100K open robotics datasets, up 48% in six months

Hugging Face CEO Clem Delangue shared the platform's open-source robotics AI progress: nearly 100,000 public robotics datasets (up 48% in six months) and over 30,000 public robotics models (up 41%). Its open-source robots Microduck and Reachy mini are likely the most popular robots of 2026, projected to end the year with 50,000+ sold and 20,000+ shipped. He argues open source lets students, researchers and startups build on shared progress instead of concentrating robotics AI in a few black-box companies.
