Pool launches agent-accessible financial accounts with enforced permissions for multi-agent money management
ashleymayer · x · 2026-11-07
Payments startup Pool now lets personal AI agents access a dedicated financial account: users can text their agent to check balances, create shared Pools (e.g. family travel), auto-pay recurring bills, or pause a subscription card—without handing over the whole bank account.
- Core thesis: most agent payment products assume one person granting spend permissions, but real money management involves multiple humans and agents sharing one budget
- Pool goes the opposite way of banks building walled-garden assistants: it aims to be the control layer that makes external agent access safe
- RonakDaya's accompanying article explores what it takes to manage several agents against one shared budget
