Wheeled Semi-Humanoid Robots May Beat Both Desktop Rovers and Bipeds
CyberRobooo · x · 2026-11-06
CyberRobooo shares a household teleoperation demo (high-shelf retrieval in a bedroom, teleoperated at 6.3×) and argues that between desktop-sized mobile robots and bipeds lies a whole range of viable designs: a wheeled base for mobility and speed, an elevating torso for working at different heights, a semi-humanoid form that fits human environments, and a cute approachable look that makes human-robot interaction more natural. This form factor may be easier to adapt across different applications.
