Y Combinator announced that W23 company Reflex closed a $14M Series A led by Standard Capital, with Databricks Ventures participating, bringing total funding to $19M.
Reflex began as an open-source framework for building full-stack web apps in pure Python and has since pivoted into an "AI software factory": AI writes applications from a business problem, while Reflex's forward-deployed engineers wire up company data, verify business logic, and ship to production. Customers own the resulting apps, which can run in the cloud, on-prem, or air-gapped environments, targeting regulated sectors like finance, healthcare, and government.
Key numbers: 29,000+ GitHub stars, internal tools at 30% of the Fortune 500, and over 1 million apps built.
