CS student builds Claude Study: circle any part of your notes to ask Claude about it
Embarrassed-Tooth132 · reddit · 2026-11-06
A CS student watched his mechanical-engineering girlfriend repeatedly screenshot tablet notes, crop, paste into Claude and explain which part she meant — so he built Claude Study:
- Circle the region you mean (free-body diagrams, equations); Claude sees only that
- Answers land back on the page as labels, circles and margin notes in "AI ink"
- Claude can build interactive artifacts from your notes (a spinnable 3D cell in the demo), linked to the circled spot
Runs in the browser on tablet/phone/laptop with your own Claude API key kept on-device; every request shows its cost (0.6¢ per question, 10¢ per artifact on default models). Open-source, feedback welcome.
