Indian startup Venomics AI raised $2.7M in its first institutional round, co-led by South Park Commons and Speciale Invest with participation from Operators Studio. Founded by IISc professor and venom researcher Kartik Sunagar and CMU PhD repeat founder Vinay Prabhu, the company uses AI to mine India's venom biodiversity for drug candidates — a space that historically produced Captopril, Ziconotide, and the GLP-1 story behind Ozempic, yet remains largely unexplored molecule by molecule.
