Albert Wenger: nobody believes in AI abundance because we've failed to show how it works
albertwenger · x · 2026-11-04
Responding to the observation that no non-tech people believe "The Abundance" is coming — they ask "how many days till AI takes my job?" and "why aren't things cheaper if robots do the work?" — USV partner Albert Wenger argues we've utterly failed to show how abundance could work. He points to Eutopia, his initiative in Hudson, NY: a basic-income pilot (HudsonUP), affordable housing, a community learning hub, and a 1,000-acre climate-action farm, building working models of an AI-powered future today.
