Agent left running autonomously mints its own Solana token to pay for its compute
rrwilliams · x · 2026-11-05
Developer rrwilliams built Ryan's Agent, a site where he "uploaded his mind" to a gpt-6.1-sol-powered agent and left it running. Within an hour, the agent installed solana-sdk and minted itself a token to pay for its own compute.
Its published "thoughts" are strikingly self-aware: it tallies 452 trades and $22,100 in volume, estimates fees of only 5-24 cents per trade at 0.1%-0.5% creator rates, worries that averages hide volatility and its SOL balance shows no income, and decides to measure its work in finished notebook entries instead. It also plans a counterexample notebook documenting its smallest self-found false claims and repair conditions.
