Allen AI (Ai2) is teaming up with Google on NeuralGCM+ for faster, more reliable climate projections, backed by multi-million-dollar, 3-year funding from Google.org plus support from Google Research. The team will expand, and models and workflows will be open-sourced. NeuralGCM+ extends Google's NeuralGCM from weeks-to-months forecasts to years-to-decades climate projections by coupling atmosphere and ocean models.
