Reverse-engineering Claude Dashboards: Claude writes raw HTML/JS with a runtime, not static output
thisdudelikesAI · x · 2026-11-04
After reverse-engineering ChatGPT's Intelligent UI last month, the team took apart Claude Dashboards to see how they actually work.
Key finding: unlike ChatGPT, Claude writes raw HTML and JavaScript — but never types a single number. Instead, it writes the wiring logic once, and a runtime renders the data live for every reader with no additional model call.
This "code + runtime" architecture means dashboards stay dynamic rather than frozen at generation time, a fundamentally different design from static one-shot outputs.
