Mago open-sources its long-form AI video pipeline used to produce the Yokai episode
devdef · reddit · 2026-11-04
The Mago team announced that an episode of their animated series Yokai was produced end-to-end with their in-house tool, and open-sourced Mago the same day (AGPL-3.0, beta, GitHub: MagoStudio).
- Built for long-form AI video (series, films, microdramas): build the cast, generate shot lists and storyboards, then render shots where each picks up from the previous one
- Stack: Qwen as LLM and visual model, Qwen Image/Edit + Flux for images, MiniMax h3 turbo/pdd for video; models/workflows are swappable
- Runs on your own GPU or with cloud models in the same app
