Applied Compute details $350M raise: custom models cut Harvey and Clay inference costs up to 47%

Applied Compute's blog adds detail to its announcement: $100M run rate, $350M raised at $3.25B valuation led by Elad Gil. The thesis: enterprises want to own and improve the AI powering their products, built on open-weight models with their own data. Cases: a model trained for Harvey's Review Table improved quality at less than half the inference cost of a frontier alternative; a custom router for Clay cut production inference costs by up to 47% without sacrificing quality. Its AC2 Agent Cloud, launched in July, unifies training, inference and continual improvement across industries from life sciences to legal and logistics.
