Tesla Optimus robots are now being built on high-volume production lines at Fremont, on space freed by tearing down the Model S/X line in 46 days. Musk says most equipment for a 1M units/year line is installed; 20,000 robots/week is at least a year away, and external deliveries to other companies are targeted around end of 2027. Remaining design work centers on the hand, with a second larger line under construction at Giga Texas.
