Bedrock Robotics raised a $600M Series C at $4.1B, co-led by CapitalG and Emergence Capital, bringing total funding to nearly $1B. Since mid-August, its fully autonomous excavators have been doing paid work on live commercial job sites in Nevada, Texas and Arizona — retrofitting autonomy onto existing machines with no new hardware. CEO Boris Sofman led Waymo's self-driving trucks program and co-founded Anki; the customer base has doubled with expansion into the Midwest and South Atlantic.
